2025 | Master Class with Karen River Barad

In April 2025, River Karen Barad visited the Centre for Gender Studies to offer a masterclass. Under the title ‘Telling the Truth: Thinking Objectivity as Questions of Justice’, researchers joined Barad in discussing issues of objectivity, truth and justice from the perspective of feminist science studies, drawing on the theoretical considerations of ‘Agential Realism’ developed by Barad. The event provided a forum for in-depth theoretical discussions at the intersection of gender studies, philosophy and the philosophy of science.
