Feminist Activist Scholarship and Solidarity: Collectively Traversing the Pandemic "Portal"

Workshop Series with Margo Okazawa-Rey

The lecture series aims towards a deeper understanding of the current moment and will explore responsibilities and accountabilities of activist/scholars based primarily in the Global North.

Margo Okazawa-Rey is Professor Emerita of the San Francisco State University. Dr.Okazawa-Rey’s primary areas of research and activism are gender, anti-militarism and feminist activist research. She is a board member of the NGOs Peace Women across the Globe (Bern, Switzerland) and Durebang (My Sister’s Place/ Uijongbu, SouthKorea). She is a founding member of the Combahee River Collective, who developed a theory of intersectionality in “A Black Feminist Statement”.
